Argonne National Laboratory Undergraduate and Graduate Training Series
Join in Tuesdays this fall for an 8-week weekly virtual training series that will teach participants the fundamentals of using world-class supercomputers to advance the use of AI for research.
Targeted at undergraduate and graduate students, the training series will provide hands-on experience on the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility’s (ALCF) supercomputing resources, providing a unique learning experience that will give participants a leg up in the emerging field of AI for Science.
- Week 1: Introduction to AI training on ThetaGPU supercomputer and machine learning
- Week 2: Neural networks in Python
- Week 3: Neural networks in TensorFlow
- Week 4: Modern classification networks
- Week 5: Handling data during AI training
- Week 6: Supercomputers and parallel AI training
- Week 7: Running ResNet on the supercomputer
- Week 8: Other AI learning methods
Participants who complete all hands-on materials for the course will receive a certificate of completion and digital badge.
Deadline for registration is September 16, 2022.
