The application for Fall 2023 admission is now open.
The Bridges to the Doctorate (B2D) Program, a partnership with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSOM) and the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM), aims to increase the representation of individuals traditionally underrepresented in the biomedical sciences at the doctoral level.
- B2D scholars will complete their master’s degree and thesis research in a laboratory at Towson University and ultimately enroll in a doctoral program at JHUSOM, UMSOM, or elsewhere.
- Activities include rotations in UMSOM and JHUSOM laboratories, travel to conferences, and completion of doctoral-level coursework.
- The B2D program provides educational and financial support to ensure a successful transition to a biomedical Ph.D. program.
- While enrolled at TU, B2D students are provided a tuition waiver, salary, and funding to travel to research conferences.
