RM-AMP at Colorado School of Mines includes funding to support undergraduate students’ participation on research projects with graduate students and/or faculty, as well as research projects with NREL scientists, and the opportunity to participate in summer research initiatives; the Multicultural Engineering Program which seeks to graduate underrepresented minorities in STEM disciplines while also maintaining community and cultural ties; travel to professional conferences (AISES, NSBE, SHPE); and support for our first-generation college student Themed Learning Community for academic programs, teambuilding, presentations, and leadership activities. RM-AMP also provides funding for Humanitarian Engineering which was developed at Colorado School of Mines to improve the well-being of underserved populations in local and international locales while providing research experiences to students.
