Paid Summer Research Opportunities: Insider tips for finding and applying to REUs
Students, you are invited to attend a workshop: “Paid Summer Research Opportunities: Insider tips for finding and applying to REUs”, 7 pm MST January 20, 2021!
Many opportunities exist for undergraduates to be paid to do summer research, particularly through the NSF Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) program. In this workshop, hosted and run by the Research Experiences for Community College Students (RECCS) REU team at CU Boulder, we will introduce you to the wide range of REU programs that exist across the sciences. We will discuss why you should try doing research, give you an inside perspective of what to expect during your participation in an REU program, and provide insight and strategies for writing an application – including the (often dreaded) essays. Please bring all your questions!
An email containing the link to the workshop will be emailed to participants once registered. All registrants will be sent a recording of the presentation and handouts. For any questions, contact RECCS.
