Call for Applications for CSU’s Extension Summer Internship Program
We’re excited to open the call for applications for CSU Extension’s Summer Internship Program. With more than 90 internships last year, the program has continued to grow rapidly since 2018 and offers tremendous benefits to our students, university, and communities. Thanks to the generous support of numerous units and colleges across campus, this program provides paid internships for students to participate in applied and engaged research that results in tangible impacts across Colorado.
We encourage you to consider submitting an Extension internship opportunity for 2024. Submissions are open to all faculty and staff across all colleges and in the field. Internship proposals will be accepted through December 15.
Accepted proposals must include:
- Applied research that supports both campus and field engagement.
- Meaningful time in the field (off-campus).
- Opportunities for student professional development and engaged learning.
- Connection to an identified need of Colorado stakeholder(s).
- Connection to one or more Extension and engagement programmatic areas, including:
- Community or Economic Development
- Diversity Equity and Inclusion
- Food Systems, Nutrition and Food Safety
- Agriculture
- Health and Well-Being
- Natural Resources
- Horticulture
- 4-H and Youth Development
- Emergency Management
- At least one campus/state faculty or staff and one county/regional faculty or staff to serve on the mentorship committee. If you need assistance connecting with either campus or field faculty or staff, please submit your online application by November 10 to enable time to identify a potential connection.
