2025 Society of Women Engineers Collegiate/Graduate Scholars Application
The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to those who identify as a woman and are studying at a community college, or are enrolled in baccalaureate, or graduate programs in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and fields related to engineering.
Application Deadlines:
SWE Collegiate/Graduate Scholars
- Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year open December 2, 2024, and close January 31, 2025.
- All application materials and reference letters are due by January 31, 2025.
- All deadlines are 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. No exceptions to the deadlines.
SWE Emerging First Year Scholars:
- Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year open February 10, 2025, and close March 31, 2025.
- All application materials and reference letters are due by March 31st.
- All deadlines are 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. No exceptions to the deadlines.
India Scholars
- Open to students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in any year of study at select schools in India
- Application opens February 10, 2025, and close March 31, 2025
SWE provides one application for sophomores through graduate students, one application for freshmen, and one application for students in India. Applicants complete an application and are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.
SWE’s Scholarship Program is open to both SWE members and non-members; however, some of the scholarships do require SWE membership. Read about the benefits of SWE membership.
Description
Scholarships are typically awarded in June (sophomore, junior, senior and graduate students) and July (incoming freshmen students) for use during the upcoming academic year. Scholarship payments are made in September. Recipients are also announced in September/October.
All SWE Scholarship applicants (not including India scholarship applicants) must be planning to attend a school with ABET-accredited programs. Undergraduate and community college applicants must be planning to study an ABET-accredited program in engineering, technology, or computing in the upcoming academic year. Masters and PhD candidates must be enrolled or accepted at a school with ABET-accredited programs in engineering, computing, or technology.
