Applications for Summer 2025 are now OPEN.

In order to be considered for the RM-AMP Summer Research Initiative, applicants must meet the following RM-AMP Participant eligibility requirements:

Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card).
Be enrolled at a participating RM-AMP campus in an NSF-recognized STEM undergraduate program.
Minimum GPA required for this program is 2.75.
When applying, please submit an unofficial transcript in addition to this completed application. You may upload a transcript below or send it directly to your site coordinator.
Students who will graduate at the end of the Spring 2025 term are not eligible for this program.
NOTE: If you receive financial aid, please check with your Office of Financial Aid prior to accepting an SRI placement regarding any potential impacts to your financial aid package.

1. All students involved in RM-AMP’s SRI agree to be tracked over their academic careers in order to establish the effectiveness of programming. Any product (poster, presentation paper or material) must credit RM-AMP and its funding source, the National Science Foundation (HRD 2207219).
2. During the summer research program, you will be required to submit a photo of yourself, a summary of the results of your summer research (poster, presentation, report, etc.), complete a pre-experience survey and two post-experience surveys, and submit a 1-page post-experience essay on what you gained from the experience and how the experience met (or didn’t meet) your expectations. Please comment on the quality of the peer relationships, opportunities for scientific discussions about the project and access to supervisors and mentors.
