Ongoing RM-AMP activities at CU Boulder include tutors for first-year math and science courses, calculus workgroups, faculty mentoring, and student travel to professional STEM conferences. The BOLD Center (Broadening Opportunity for Leadership and Diversity) plays a critical role in the RM-AMP program with tutoring for URM engineering and science students enrolled in key “gate-keeping” courses including: Calculus I and II, Chemistry I, Physics I, and Mass and Energy Balances. BOLD also partners with the Applied Math Department to offer calculus workgroups for students, which are small study sessions conducted weekly for students enrolled in Calculus I and II with pass/fail grading based on mandatory attendance.
