Diana Trujillo becomes the 108th certified NASA Flight Director at the Johnson Space Center.
The significance of Trujillo’s appointment extends far beyond her individual accomplishments. It represents a monumental step forward in the ongoing mission to diversify the aerospace industry, traditionally dominated by a homogeneous group. Her role as a Flight Director places her at the helm of some of NASA’s most critical missions, including operations for the International Space Station, commercial crew missions, and the Artemis program’s ambitious goals to return humans to the Moon and beyond.
