About This Program
The Pre-Collegiate Summer Bridge Program gives students a head start on their first year of college at CU Denver. It includes three college courses with tuition paid by the program. The program is offered to a very specific group of students and is held during the summer between their senior year in high school and their first fall semester at CU Denver. Summer Bridge students must be high-achieving, first-generation college students, meaning that neither of their natural nor adoptive parents completed a four-year college degree. They must be admitted to CU Denver, be planning to attend CU Denver in the fall, and have completed a Pre-Collegiate program at any of the University of Colorado campuses during middle school and/or high school. Summer Bridge is a partnership between the Center for Pre-Collegiate and Academic Outreach Programs, the Center for Identity & Inclusion, the Communication Department, and First-Year Experiences.
